Lending a Helping Hand to Houston

On August 24th, 2017, Houston and the surrounding areas were hit with one of the most powerful storms to hit the U.S. in more than 12 years. This storm has caused unprecedented damage to the city and has put people out of work and out of their homes. But, here at Porsche of West Houston in Houston, TX we, along with our parent company Sonic Automotive Group are working hard to bring hope to Houstonians.

Hurricane Harvey has caused some of the worst damage to the Houston area that the country has ever seen. With flooding that looks like it is out of a movie, Houston is going to working on rebuilding for time to come. We know how life changing this disaster was and we are all working to help make the rebuilding effort easier. Our executive vice president Jeff Dyke, along with other Sonic employees made the trip to Houston from San Antonio with a boat, clothing, food, and other supplies to help some employees who are suffering from this incredible loss. But, we are not only helping out our employees, we are aiming to help out members of the community. At Audi Central Houston employees ran a supply drive to give back to community members who have suffered these losses.

Hurricane Harvey was by far one of the worst natural disasters to happen on U.S. soil in many years. But, here we are proud to be a part of the Sonic Automotive family where we are all helping to bring hope to community members all over. See you soon!
